Why am I waiting on this?
I read and loved the first book in this series, Halo. I have the second book, Hades, and I need to make time to read that as well. The cover for this last book is so beautiful and I think it's one of my top covers of all time. The story is amazing and Alexandra is a fantastic writer. Angels aren't for everyone but this series is a great place to start for those who want to give them a go.

I always appreciate new followers and I'm happy to return the favor! Thanks for checking out my post and feel free to leave links!

Why am I waiting on these?
These books not only have beautiful covers but their stories both sound too captivating not to covert! Hereafter is on my bookshelf and I'll definitely make time to read it before Arise releases. I'm excited about the continuation of the series because it is a very unique story line.  The Selection is a 2012 releases that I absolutely cannot wait for! It sounds so thrilling and magical but dark and twisted at the time. Luckily the wait isn't too long. This one is certainly going on my wishlist!

PhotobucketThis Is Not a Test
by Courtney Summers
Publication Date: 19 June 2012
Publisher: St Martins Griffin
Pre-Order: Amazon US/UK|B&N|Book Depo
It’s the end of the world. Six students have taken cover in Cortege High but shelter is little comfort when the dead outside won’t stop pounding on the doors. One bite is all it takes to kill a person and bring them back as a monstrous version of their former self. To Sloane Price, that doesn’t sound so bad. Six months ago, her world collapsed and since then, she’s failed to find a reason to keep going. Now seems like the perfect time to give up. As Sloane eagerly waits for the barricades to fall, she’s forced to witness the apocalypse through the eyes of five people who actually wantto live. But as the days crawl by, the motivations for survival change in startling ways and soon the group’s fate is determined less and less by what’s happening outside and more and more by the unpredictable and violent bids for life—and death—inside. When everything is gone, what do you hold on to?|Goodreads|
Why am I waiting on these?
Not only are these covers super creepy but the stories sound like fantastically scary reads. I am dying to get hands on these books and I can't wait for them to be released! This Is Not a Test intrigues me because Courtney Summers is known for tackling contemporary stories with a dark side, with much success so I'm really excited to see how she pulls of a Zombie tale. Ten sounds like the perfect scary story and, with her success with Possess, I'm looking forward to reading Gretchen McNeil take on the classic plot line of teens trapped and being knocked off by a mystery killer.

The first thing that grabbed mt attention was this beautiful cover. The color of it is amazing. I have also heard so many good things about this series, and even though I don't have either the first or second book, I'm still excited  about Taken at Dusk. Has anyone else read this series? if so what did you think of it?

PhotobucketGirl of Nightmares (Anna #2)
by Kendare Blake
Publication Date: 7 August 2012
Publisher: Tor Teen
In this follow-up to Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas begins seeing Anna everywhere: sometimes when he’s asleep, and sometimes in waking nightmares. But something is very wrong. These aren’t just daydreams. Anna seems tortured, torn apart in new and ever more gruesome ways every time she appears.Cas doesn’t know what happened to Anna when she disappeared into Hell, but he knows she doesn’t deserve whatever is happening to her now. Anna saved Cas more than once, and it’s time for him to return the favor. |Goodreads|

Anna Dressed in Blood is still on my wishlist but the sequel looks too good to pass up. A good scary story always makes for an exciting change to the reading pile and this series seems to be one of the better written thriller stories out there. It's a bit of a wait but a least it gives me time to acquire and read the first book.

PhotobucketSocial Suicide (Deadly Cool #2)
by Gemma Halliday
Publication Date:24 April 2012
Publisher: HarperTeen
Twittercide [twit-er-sahyd]: the killing of one human being by another while the victim is in the act of tweeting.
Call me crazy, but I figured writing for the Herbert Hoover High Homepage would be a pretty sweet gig. Pad the resume for college applications, get a first look at the gossip column, spend some time ogling the paper's brooding bad-boy editor, Chase Erikson. But on my first big story, things went...a little south. What should have been a normal interview with Sydney Sanders turned into me discovering the Homecoming Queen-hopeful dead in her pool. Electrocuted while Tweeting. Now, in addition to developing a reputation as HHH's resident body finder, I'm stuck trying to prove that Sydney's death wasn't suicide. I'm starting to long for the days when my biggest worry was whether the cafeteria was serving pizza sticks or Tuesday Tacos...|Goodreads|
I recently acquired Social Suicide and I can't wait for the sequel to be released. The story line for both books is very intriguing and rather original, which I really like. Luckily it's not too long a wait.

Once (Eve #2)
By Anna Carey

Sixteen years have passed since a deadly virus wiped out most of the Earth’s population. After learning of the terrifying part she and her classmates were fated to play in the rebuilding of New America, eighteen-year-old Eve fled to the wilds and Califia, a haven for women determined to live outside the oppressive rule of the king of New America. However, her freedom came at a price: she was forced to leave Caleb, the boy she loves, wounded and alone at the city gates. Eve quickly learns that Califia may not be as safe as it seems and soon finds herself in the City of Sand and the palace of the king. There she uncovers the real reason he was so intent on her capture, and the unbelievable role he intends her to fill. Maybe for Christmas...if I'm lucky. Anyone got a spare copy lying around? With Lauren Kate (one of my favorite authors) saying it's a must read and it being recommend for people who loved The Hunger Games (which I did!) I just have to read both Eve and Once as soon as its released.

It also sounds a little heart breaking and I am kinda a sucker when it comes sad story lines. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for this when it comes out.

Underworld (Abandon Trilogy #2)
By Meg Cabot
Publication date: May 2012

Escape from the realm of the dead is impossible when someone there wants you back.

Seventeen-year-old Pierce Oliviera isn’t dead. Not this time. But she is being held against her will in the dim, twilit world between heaven and hell, where the spirits of the deceased wait before embarking upon their final journey.

Her captor, John Hayden, claims it’s for her own safety. Because not all the departed are dear. Some are so unhappy with where they ended up after leaving the Underworld, they’ve come back as Furies, intent on vengeance…on the one who sent them there and on the one whom he loves.

But while Pierce might be safe from the Furies in the Underworld, far worse dangers could be lurking for her there…and they might have more to do with its ruler than with his enemies.

And unless Pierce is careful, this time there’ll be no escape.

I love Meg Cabot books and I'm super excited to read the continuation of this story! I loved Abandon and I think Underworld is going to be just as good, if not better.

PhotobucketUntil I Die (Revenants #2)
by Amy Plum
Publication Date: May 3rd 2012

Kate has chosen to leave the comfort and safety of her human world in order to join Vincent in the dangerous supernatural universe he inhabits. For his part, he has sworn to go against his very nature and resist the repeated deaths that are his fate as a revenant—even though it will bring him immeasurable suffering.

Heady with romance and rife with danger, the second book of the DIE FOR ME trilogy follows Vincent and Kate as they search—separately—for a solution to their plight, pursuing their quest from the glamorous streets of Paris to the city’s squalid underbelly. Although the experiment that Vincent attempts is progressively destroying him, he insists on seeing it through to the end. This prompts Kate to strike out on her own into the dangerous world of the revenants to find another way. But she unwittingly puts everyone she loves at risk when she discovers a family of ancient healers who hold the key to a secret that could help the bardia—the good revenants—overthrow their murderous enemies, the numa, forever.

And while the lovers search for something they have little chance of finding, a new threat arises among the numa. Kate finds herself in the midst of an ancient and deadly war, not as a bystander...but as a target.
